Music for ten

Announced recently: a new work for NouLou Chamber Players, whose members include musicians from the Louisville Orchestra and the University of Louisville, will premiere on April 15 of 2024 in an 18th century library. Lacking a title, at the moment, it’s music for 10 players (a dectet or decet or dixtour or…).

Langston Hughes Songs at 21C

Later this month at 21C Museum, Orchestra Enigmatic will present a the new orchestrated version of Langston Hughes Songs, with Jan Pellant conducting and Susan Hahn singing. This latest iteration includes a newly-composed overture. The earliest versions of these songs are from 1999-2000, and have been modified (slightly) over the past sixteen years.
